Experiences On the Application Of Data Gathering, Proper Literature Reviewand Annotated Bibliography

As an aspiring nurse, research study is part of our requirement and it has lots of process that needs to be acquired before fullfiling the study. In this world full of queries, research study have always become the peoples' companion in resolving worlds series of problem. However, without  using tools, methods and procedures of gathering data for research studies , I guess it wouldn't be complete and successful.

Researchers can have seven options on how to gather data. These could possibly be thru interviews, questionnaires, reporting, existing data, observation, focus group and combination research. But as a student whom is eager to find possible data for our research study, the group where I belong have finally decided that we will collect our data with the usage of questionnaires that includes a five point scale or answers since our study is considered to be quantitative and it must be evaluated with corresponding equivalent rates.
In terms of my experience of doing a proper literature review, it was really quite a long process to go through since we have to take time to read some articles and studies that are correlated with the existing problem that we are working on. Patience is what it really takes for this part since you put a lot of effort into taking account of reading the articles carefully and checking whether  it really gives sense in your study as a proof or evidence that the problem your working on hasn't have any resolutions yet and still has the aura of being dilemma in the society. But looking after the studies and articles, we must also consider that it must be timely or within a range of span that we can tell that the authors ideas related to the problem is still existing nowadays, or specifically studies or journals from 10 years ago up until now.

After putting a lot of effort in reading such articles, we must also consider the fact that we do a little highlight of the author's study or journal and this part is what we call the annotated reading.
Having this experience to write such descriptions about the study is quite fascinating since you really understood what the author's study was all about and also the results, findings and methods  that they used which somehow helps the researchers and students like me.  In my opinion, it is also a way of getting to know the authors thoughts and ideas on why they come up with that certain study or article.

Research might be very difficult but it is really worthy if we consider its side of advantages. It enables us to learn different insights from other people from local and foreign countries that somehow can share such same thoughts of a particular existing problem. We may not possibly obtain results of we wanted to have all the time but still we have to consider that it was all worth a try and we can do better next time around.
