Empirical Phase

As many days have passed, understanding different phases of research have been quite fascinating since it enables to enlighten our minds about the stages that every research study must go through. But at this time, I would like to make an emphasis and share my thoughts about empirical research and what insights have I learned about this phase.

It was mentioned in our lesson that empirical phase is where plans and methods are already implemented by the researchers which definitely takes a lot of patience since it is very time consuming in the whole process of the study.

However, empirical research is sometimes get mistaken by many students particularly of those who are in the field of science. They often believe and make assumption that empirical scientific methods and science are the same. But then here comes the scientific cycle that we always end up using as a method of obtaining our data and these methods are namely, observation, induction, deduction, testing and evaluation.

Observation is a stage of scientific cycle that collects and organizes empirical data. On the other hand, induction is used to form a hypothesis which in fact a process that serves a role in claiming specific evidence before attaining the calculation.

Furthermore, deduction relies on logic and rationality of making decesions in making specific conclusions where scientist are able to express and elaborate the logic that they come up in their specific experimental design.Next stage of the scientific cycle is what we call "Testing".
In this part, hypothesis is being tested where emperical methods are being used.

As for the last stage of the cycle, this is what we call, "Evaluation". As we can easily comprehend, we can clearly tell from the name itself that it is about weighing and making interpretations of the results that have come up that sometimes we tend to   forget that this part of cycle in the research process exist.

Hence, these are the important stages and guided steps of emperical phase that every researchers partake in order to come up with the best possible and tangible solutions towards the problem that really needs answers that we must give a lot of appreciation. Let us come to think of how research really changed the lives in our society as years have gone by. We should bear in our minds that patience is what it really takes for this time consuming yet worthy of our hardwork, research study.
