Group 6: RESEARCH DESIGN

Research in the nursing field helps nurses to promote and improve services towards their patients and clients. But then every research undergoes a tough process and research design partakes a place wherein it serves as a framework that every research study needs to follow in order to have clarifications of what kind of study they are conducting all about.


As an example, we come up to our research proposal entitled " Effects of Procastination Toward the BSN-III Academic Performance of Jose Rizal Memorial State University", wherein it  explicits a qualitative descriptive design. 

Qualitative desciptive design provides basis wherein it highlights the distinguishing features and similarities between descriptive phenomenological and qualitative description research. In this case, it will help students and researchers make more informed choices in deciding upon the most appropriate methodology in qualitative research.(Willis,et.al, 2016)

In addition to that, Bradshaw, et.al (2017) stated that  a qualitative descriptive design is particularly relevant where information is required directly from those experiencing the phenomenon under investigation and where time and resources are limited.

Therefore, we used this kind of research design since we have aimed to accurately and systemically describe situations and phenomenon pertaining to academic procrastination qualitatively. We will conduct an interview towards BSN-3 of Jose Rizal Memorial State University provided with interview guide questions.

Hence, as an aspiring researcher, planning an outline on what research design you would use is very significant. It enables to meet your goals and objectives way better because it sets methods in order to come up better solution to a particular existing problem.
